Thank you & a Response to our Critics

I would like to take this time and opportunity to thank the many of you who were in contact with us to alert us to the comments being made in a letter circulated by an alternative company I can only say again how overwhelmed and grateful to those of you who took the time out of your day to let us know your kind words of support.

We have only ever tried to be fair and treat people as we would like to be treated ourselves and when it has come to our workmanship we have only ever wanted to produce a standard of work that we ourselves would be happy to have in our own home, so it brings us great comfort that this has been felt and appreciated by so many of you. Again a very big thank you. And thanks for your continued support of Handyman for Hire Ltd.

At no point have we advertised ourselves to be anything other than what we truly believed to be true or have permission to use. We are fiercely proud of the fact that we are independent approved installers. We are part of a small band of fitters in Scotland that are recognized by HETAS and The Solid Fuel Association and we are also proud of the fact that not only are we accredited to fit stoves and chimney systems but the fact that our design and build of fireplaces is recognized for it’s quality by The Federation of Master Builders (FMB)

In response to the comments made we can only say how sad we are, but we stand by our integrity and honesty. We have only ever associated ourselves with organizations that we were able to do so...

In  Ayrshire we set the benchmark  for others to follow by being the first company with HETAS approval.

SCOTLAND

In Scotland SI 2002 No 440 and its permitted exemptions do not apply. However, HETAS Ltd in this Guide also lists under a similar Scheme, operated jointly by the Solid Fuel Association and HETAS, contractors in Scotland employing competent engineers which have met the HETAS Ltd requirements for Registration.

Members of the Competent Persons Scheme (CPS) and although located in Scotland can operate in England and Wales as CPS Registered Companies.
